Home - Flood Insurance

Unquestionably, the Hurricane Katrina disaster of 2005 brought Flood Insurance and the federal organization (FEMA), that mandates it, to our attention. It was one of the deadliest and costliest natural disasters in U.S. history.*

Every year flood losses account for millions of dollars in damages. Some homeowners and businesses are covered, but for some, losses incurred are catastrophic. Flood insurance is a good buy, even in low or moderate risk areas, as nearly 25 percent of all flood insurance claims come from low-to moderate-risk areas.

As Flood insurance is not a standard part of most Homeowners policies, it is a good idea to speak to your agent to determine if your home or business is at risk for damages caused by flooding. Please call me with any questions that you have about your current flood insurance policy or if you believe you should have flood insurance.
